I'm that lucky guy who got to marry his best friend. My wife Ivy is not just my gorgeous bride, she's also my inspiration. We first started talking in a chemistry lab almost 10 years ago (yes, cue the "chemistry" jokes!), and before I could tell what was happening I was in love and couldn't stand to be away from her. So I made sure I wouldn't have to! I popped the question, she said yes, and our story got started. Now we've been married more than six years, and have a wonderful baby boy (who we're absolutely crazy about!) and two high-energy morkie pups.
Photography has been the journey of my life for over 12 years now. When Ivy and I met, she had traveled the world photographing orphans and tribal groups, and I had worked in music, fashion, aviculture, and book cover photography for clients and publications across the US and Europe. As our love story grew, we melted our styles together to capture the emotion and the moments, the lighting and the composition, that has defined our styles. Over the past 7 years we've had the pleasure of building friendships and and photographing weddings for countless couples. Nowadays, I'm the primary photographer for weddings, and Ivy specializes in her ladies-only Intimates line. We love what we do, and we love meeting our couples together and getting to call them new friends!
So, what makes a photographer a wedding photographer? I believe it's understanding what the wedding day is about, connecting with clients in a way that puts them at ease, and having the expertise to capture the day the way each couple wants to remember it. We look forward to hearing from you, and capturing your love story!
