True love can be a little like a runner’s high. It’s hard to describe just what it feels like until you feel it yourself – the wind rushes through your hair, the sun shines overhead, and everything in the world seems crystal clear and perfectly happy. Sometimes when you’re starting out, you don’t know where the road will take you, but that magical elation carries you to your destination. For these two, the journey started at opposite ends of a room. It was the very first time they saw each other, and he was the shy guy in the group. She was shy too, which meant that saying hi to each other would have to wait. Eventually they worked up the courage to talk to each other, and they found themselves quickly becoming more than friends. As the years went on and they finished college, they fell madly in love, and it looked like the their destination was coming into sight. Finally, one chilly winter day the two of them set off to run a race together in the town of Little Rock, Arkansas. He parted ways with her after completing his part of the race, reminding her to look for him at the finish line. As she crossed the finish line of her marathon, she noticed a group of people in the middle of the runway, and one by one they started to flip over signs. “Will You Marry Me…” they read, and there he knelt with a little black box in hand. She said yes.
Meet Christina and Jeremy.
For these two lovebirds raised in the south, you couldn’t have imagined a more perfect wedding day. From the outdoor ceremony chapel under Texas skies, to the twinkling lights in the barn loft reception, and the handmade DIY table-toppers, floral designs, and decor, it was the sweetest of rustic wedded soirées.
Love Christina’s gown…
We work with amazing assistants, but a special thank you goes out to our assistant for this wedding. When a makeup artist was needed, our photography assistant Melissa (who used to do makeup and knew what to do!) stepped in and helped the bride finish her look. How fabulous is that?! Love it.
Christina glowed, and her mom and sister were there to help her get dressed.
The guys getting ready…
A prayer before the ceremony…
The groom beamed when he saw his bride… : )

That moment when the groom surprises you by throwing off his hat, before catching his bride into a epic kiss? Yes…and it was Awesome. : )
Love these elated moments after the “i do”!
Christina and Jeremy, you two are adorable!
The reception was beautiful…and full of DIY gorgeousness.
Christina and Jeremy hung their engagement photos on the cutest little hangers.
The first dance…
The father-daughter dance was so special…full of emotion and sweet moments.
After cutting the cake, the bride and groom served their guests. So sweet and so Christina and Jeremy. : )
A beautiful finish to a perfectly beautiful day.
Christina and Jeremy,
We miss you guys! : ) Getting to be a part of your love story and spending time with y’all along the journey has been such an honor. You two are amazing! Everyone loves y’all, and seeing how your day came together, and how elated your friends and family were for you, proved it even more. We wish you both all the joy and blessings as you start this new journey as husband and wife.

Story from the Bride:
When Jeremy and I began planning our wedding, I envisioned a rustic outdoor venue with twinkle lights and handmade details for the ceremony. My mother is a very crafty and creative person and has taught me so much growing up. She used to take me and my sister to old country stores and to Canton and we would come home and recreate the beautiful things that we saw. It only seemed natural to use the skills she’s given me to personalize our wedding as best I could! Everything from the “Just Married” banner to the rustic glass bottle centerpieces and the bridal and bridesmaids bouquets were handmade. It was so much work, but the wedding became very personal and I was so happy to share every moment with our guests. Jeremy and I met five years ago in a small college group bible study at a Baptist Church. We were so shy we didn’t even say hello to each other the first day we saw each other! Once we realized we had similar outlooks in life and shared the same sense of humor, we became friends and we started dating shortly after. I so cherish the fact that Jeremy was so involved in the planning process of our wedding! He chose the song that he wanted me to walk down the aisle to and our first dance. He was so helpful and supportive. I was so nervous walking down the aisle, terrified that I might trip, but when I got to the alter and I saw him there and his eyes were moist my heart just melted! I will always remember that moment.
