When you’re passionate about something it shows. You can be passionate about the person you love, the work you care about, the school you’re proud to say is your alma mater, or the family God gave you. Passion is something that crosses the line into love so frequently it’s hard to tell the two apart.

We knew Stacy and John had a special love when we met them. We also knew they were passionate about each other and their alma mater- Texas A&M University (gig ‘em Aggies!!). It’s a given to say Stacy and John have a heart for people. They met doing volunteer service for Save our Streets Ministries- while they were both college students. It was there that they got to know each other first; there that they had their first date at an S.O.S. banquet, and there that John chose to ask Stacy to be his forever.

We think it’s an amazing story- and that’s only a glimpse of it. You’ll have to wait until the wedding post to read the rest!

Their engagement session started pretty early, and John was a good sport about it (we barely even caught him yawning in photos…! ; )

We don’t usually know what our couples will choose to wear on a session, so it’s always a surprise to see them on the day of the shoot. Stacy and John rocked their session in great style! LOVE love love the outfits these two chose! Not too complicated, but still really fashionable.

One of our favorite Save the Dates! Our other favorite is actually the one they chose to use for their Save the Dates, so we decided not to preview it and keep everyone in suspense until they get it in the mail : )

How romantic is this? OHHHHH and the sun was perfect, too. : )

One of the first compliments John gave Stacy was, “Nice shoes.” So… its fitting to include a shoe shot. : )

When you love people, and you love each other, your love can’t help but grow. Stacy & John, we know that’ll be the case for you guys and we can’t wait to be a part of your wedding next year!

It’s a great day- we’re finally blogging Tina and Raj’s amazing engagement session!! After they were featured in New York’s modern wedding hotspot, Brooklyn Bride, we have been dying to blog some more of our favorites from their session for you.Tina and Raj planned out their engagement shoot with us before the day (love when our couples do this!), and showed up with props, details, a unique save the date, and very awesome wardrobe choices. We’ve heard from countless NY brides who loved Tina’s style, so we know we weren’t the only ones who thought they rocked the day and looked gorgeous! : )

We started the session outdoors, and then moved indoors for some posh and romantic images at the stunning art gallery of the American Fine Art & Frame Co.

Check out the unique save the date that Tina made! Since they are having a traditional Mehndi party on March 25th, and a more Western wedding on the 26th- the save the date had to have both dates. We cannot wait to photograph their celebration – it’s going to be a beautiful celebration of culture, love, and family : )

Love the finishing touches Tina gives Raj! On our engagement shoot, our photographer got almost the same photo of us! Apparently, all guys need a little help with their ties ; )

Raj loves art and he and Tina wanted part of their session to take place in an art gallery. We owe special thanks to David Zueger the owner of American Fine Art and Frame Company, who graciously allowed our bride and groom to use his beautiful gallery for their portrait session!

Tina and Raj, we are so happy for you guys! Thank you for being such a fun couple to work with and for treating us to lunch! We are excited to be a part of your wedding-

We have had such a great time getting to know Amanda and Kris. They are such a FUN couple! We actually met them when we were shooting a photo event last year for a close friend of Amanda’s, so it was a great surprise when they contacted us later about our wedding photography! Although we met them when they were visiting Dallas, their home is in the capital, and that is where they wanted engagement photos…

Of course we love destination engagement photos, so it was off to Austin!

Amanda & Kris brought their dog, Winston, along for the shoot. Winston definitely was a ham for the camera!

Most of our clients we don’t know before our initial client meeting, or before their engagement shoot. Well, I had a class back as an undergrad with Joy, but had never met Jared…and Matt didn’t know either of them before the shoot. So, what an awesome surprise it was to meet them for their photoshoot and to automatically be sharing laughs and great conversation. We’ve done so many other engagement shoots, but Joy and Jared will always be one of our favorites! Check out their pictures and you’ll see why we couldn’t help but fall in love with their personalities and awesome interaction.

What can we say? Basically, we love how in love they are. These two were meant to be. : )

We had some laughs here about a “Skittle Kiss” and what a Skittle kiss actually is. Another inside joke that happens on a photo shoot- amazing how many of those we have with our clients on a typical shoot. Love our job! : ) Oh and love the “J & J” in Skittle form…

Notice the heart shaped cloud in the picture? It’s something a few people have pointed out to us. And, in case you’re wondering, nooooo we didn’t Photoshop it in!

Joy’s laughs are awesome! They’re such a happy couple- we had a blast photographing them!

Gotta love some good sun flare…

People ask us where we photograph certain shoots or find our locations. We’ll it’s part research and part accident ; ) This little location (in the middle of an alley way between restaurants), is an example of an accidental moment where we stumbled on something nice and romantic looking. Doesn’t hurt to have a sweet couple who can sit down and naturally make a great photograph (no prompting required)!
