He was the best man. She was the maid of honor. On the day they came to see their best friends tie the knot, these two had no idea that their own story was just about to begin… Fast forward a year from that special day, and he was on his knee under the famed Century Tree at Texas A&M University, asking her to tie the knot with him.
Meet Jenn and John.
He makes her smile – the kind of smile a girl only has when she feels like a princess, dancing with her prince. She makes him smile, too. The kind of smile a guy only has when he feels so lucky to be with a girl that he can’t let the moment slip by without a laugh.
We got to see the spark they have in each playful glance when we were with them for their engagement session, and the magical spark was there at every single moment on their wedding day. We are so thankful we got to be a part of such a gorgeous celebration, and we are so excited to share some of our favorite images from their big day!
Special thanks to Adrienne Schoech, who once again, did a fabulous job with hair and makeup. Isn’t Jenn lovely?!
Jenn’s sister, Stacy, was there to help her into her gown.
Love this shot of our bride…she just glowed! : )
After the bride was ready, the flower girl arrived. This darling sweetie is one of Jenn’s patients, and it was truly special to the bride that she came.
The bride and her girls shared a prayer before the ceremony…
Some of our favorites from Jenn’s bridal….how stunning is she??!
Matt was with John, for some shots of him getting ready. How awesome is it that he had his dog with him?? : )
I never stop learning from Matt….love when he takes artistic shots like this.
Before the wedding, our bride and groom didn’t want to do a First look, but they did have gifts they wanted to exchange. So John was blindfolded and they got to exchange gifts in person…ADORABLE. And you know what? Even though our groom was blindfolded, their “first meeting” was one of the sweetest Matt and I have ever photographed. These two are beyond cute.
Jenn gave John a handmade scrapbook, that was filled with special memories…
And the Tiffany & Co. necklace he gave her? Just perfect. Way to go, John! ; )
Some shots of the guys…
Our groom rockin’ his Jos. A. Bank suit.
The lovely ladies!
We don’t normally post family formal photos, but we had to give a shout out to the lovely Cranfill family. Mr. & Mrs. C. trusted us with the wedding of their daughter Stacy, and we were so honored that they trusted us a second time with their daughter Jenn’s wedding! This fabulous family, and their daughters, have been such a joy to get to know! …Oh, and Stacy and Jenn’s hubbies – John H. and John L.? Well, they are pretty awesome, too! : )
One of our favorite ceremony shots of all time – you can see how happy our couple is! Love love love.
A minister who high fives the bride when he’s going to pronounce them man and wife? Yes, please. : )
After the ceremony, we only had a few minutes of daylight left, and our couple had told us how much they really wanted sunset photos. We all knew it would be a tight squeeze to make it all work, so when things ran a little behind we were absolutely rushed to get to a spot for their sunset photos before the light was gone. It is so great when a bride and groom trust their photographer, and Jenn and John couldn’t have been more of a joy to photograph. This shot is a candid capture of the bride and groom running from the chapel to the car after their wedding. I LOVE it.
We made it….and the rush was totally worth it! The beauty of our couple, that amazing newlywed bliss, and the sun setting? Gorgeous.
Jenn and John, you guys are too gorgeous- seriously!
I love how shabby chic our bride made her reception decorations…
An Aggie groom’s cake and a lovely vintage lace wedding cake…
The first dance…
The toasts were truly great…
The father daughter dance…
And mother son dance… loving all the moments! Special thanks to Melissa who assisted us with lighting and gear.
So, there’s never room for all of the fun dancing shots, but there will be more on the fanpage, so check back later for some of the fun moments! This reception really rocked the dance floor… : )
The Aggie War Hymn…!
After the festivities, the guests went outside to prepare for the send off and our bride and groom had one last dance. Just the two of them.
Jenn and John, we knew there was something special about you two the moment we met you! We are so thankful that you included us on your big day, and we couldn’t be happier to know two of the sweetest people are celebrating forever. : ) We wish you both many happy years together…and do keep in touch! : )

Story from the bride:
John and I met at our best friend’s wedding. John was the best man and I was the maid of honor. After a fun weekend, we returned to Dallas and started dating. A little more than a year later, John proposed to me in the perfect way, under the “Century Tree” at Texas A&M University where we both attended school. Since then, I’ve been dreaming of a traditional and “shabby chic” themed wedding filled with lace and hydrangeas. We are so thankful for the Lord’s perfect timing and that He has blessed us with this marriage. Our wedding day was an amazing celebration with our closest family and friends. John and I now live in Addison, TX where I work as a pediatric Speech Pathologist and John works as an IT auditor at KPMG. We couldn’t be more happy to start our lives together!
