Someone once said that love is like a roller coaster. On the best roller coasters, there’s ups and downs, and if you stick it out, it’s one of the most enjoyable rides of your life. : ) When they first met, at a restaurant 9 years ago, they had no idea what a crazy ride was in store. If you ask her, when she met this guy, Robert, who everyone called Peanut, she had no idea that it would be the start of one of the biggest whirlwinds of her life. Not to mention the fact that she’d eventually plan an entire wedding in 48 hours!
Meet Erin and Peanut.
They are one of the sweetest most kind-hearted couples you will ever meet. Sometimes the most courageous couples have hardest situations throw at them…why? I don’t know, but their strength and faith to overcome, is what encourages all the rest of us, and you can’t help but admire them.
That perfectly describes our couple. Erin first contacted us, a couple of days before her wedding. Come again?! Yes. We had already heard her story, and we were wondering how something so crazy could happen to a bride and groom. To make a long story short, through no fault of their own, all of their initial plans and vendors had fallen through, so 48 hours before their wedding, they were back at square one.
Through some crazy last minute planning, and emails and lots of text messages, we ended up in Corpus Christi for one of the most beautifully intimate weddings we’ve been to. If you ask Erin and Peanut, how their dream wedding was planned in 48 hours, they’ll tell you it was a lot of grace, love, kindness from friends, family coming together, dreams fulfilled, and a whole lot faith in God that made everything just perfect.
Here are some of our favorites from their gorgeous beach wedding.

Love this shot of Erin getting ready with her best girl friends. : )

Erin was so happy on her big day… love it!

These two shots are some of my favorites…

The bride’s gorgeous gown.

Erin, you’re such a beauty! : )

The groom, ready to see his bride!

How amazing is this wedding?!

Special thanks to Joanne, at Port A Weddings, who helped to make this gorgeous day possible!

Matt and I love kids…and the kiddos at this wedding were unbelievably adorable!

Erin and Peanut’s day was perfect in every way. From the lovely weather to the seagulls who flew overhead, and the family and friends who were present, it was intimately gorgeous!

The ceremony was performed by Andy Moody, and it was beautiful.

At the end of the ceremony, the bride and groom symbolically joined their two families by having unity sand. All of the kids, and Erin and Peanut, added their sand to the jar….and I love how their son made sure all of his sand got inside. : )

Married!!

After the wedding, we had some time for some photos with our couple, and with the setting sun, the newlywed glow, and the ocean breeze, they were beyond romantic!

The after party was held at Blackbeard’s, on the beach. The moon was shining when the party was starting.

“It’s a Beautiful Day” album… Just perfect for our bride and groom’s day. : )

There were laughs, and gifts, and food, and fun, and yummy cake, of course…!

Erin and Peanut, we had such a great time meeting you. Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your big day!! You’re kindness and hospitality were amazing. We wish you both all the happiness in the world, and many many blessings on your new marriage and your sweet family!
Best,
Matt and Ivy
