She lights up when he’s around, and he thinks the world of her. They fit together perfectly…and imagining their forever just makes you smile. Ken and Barbie have nothing on these two! ; )
Meet Stacy and John.
If you check out their engagement story, you’ll know that they met at Save our Streets ministries, while they were both college students at Texas A&M University. Save our Streets is an organization that’s dedicated to helping others…and that’s something that our bride and groom wanted to do. So (before they had met each other!), they each volunteered at SOS.
When Stacy tells their story, she talks about first noticing John at SOS, and thinking, “he was pretty cute…”, but then he graduated and left town, so she didn’t expect to see him as much. John must have had other plans, though! ; ) After graduating, he contacted Stacy again and kept in touch, and they ended up attending an SOS banquet as their first official date. Knowing how much the work of SOS meant to her, and the memories they’d built there, John also chose to ask Stacy to be his wife at SOS.
We don’t think they could be cuter….and their wedding was a beautiful occasion to be a part of. We hope you enjoy some of our favorite photos from their day!

Before the ceremony, the bride and groom opted to do a card exchange from opposite sides of a doorway… and make sure they didn’t see each other beforehand. Here they are exchanging cards and holding hands…

The ceremony took place at Custer Road United Methodist Church and it was beautiful. There were amazing details everywhere.

Before the wedding, Stacy and John told us how important it was for them to have photos with expressions from their ceremony, and how much the ceremony meant to them. The church did have strict guidelines on photographers, though, so we brought some of our telephoto lenses and got special permission for a few shots up closer. We’re thankful that Judy, from UMC, worked with us…the moments throughout the ceremony were priceless! We don’t normally blog many ceremony photos, but since it was so important to our couple, we had to blog these shots for them. We hope ya’ll enjoy them.. ! : )
Rev. Morrison has known Stacy and her family for years, and he pulled out a photo of Stacy from when she was younger….we have no idea what it looked like, but we love the reactions everyone had to the photo!

OK, well…we were tied for favorite with this photo, too…love the magical sunlight and the romantic kiss!
This next series is too fun! On their engagement session, Stacy and John did an awesome “serious photo” with us…where they basically rocked the grunge look. So, they thought it would be fun to end the wedding photowalk with another “serious shot”…only the photo started serious, and then came the laughs and cute reactions! Â : )
Stacy’s bouquet was done by Stems of Dallas, and it was beautiful!
The reception was held at the Courtyard Marriot, and we loved how our bride’s favorite photos were showcased.
The bride’s cake was by DD the Cake Lady, and just wait until you see the groom’s cake she did also. ; )

The father-daughter dance and mother-son dance were so sweet! It’s so clear to see how proud Stacy and John’s parents are of them.

This shot of Stacy’s sister, Jenn, and her (then) boyfriend, John, is so precious…they were adorable all night! We thought these two definitely had something magical– and we have to throw out a quick congratulations to Jenn & John, who we just found out got engaged! Yay, congrats, you two~!!!! : )
