Love is beautiful. Love is strong.
Someone once told me that love is like gold…it gets even more beautiful and refined by the fires of life. The strength of love is something that is so obvious in the lives of Morgan and Elijah, and their families.
Morgan’s parents, Debbie and Randy, go to our church, and they are an example to us of what strong love truly is. Morgan’s dad is fighting a difficult battle with cancer, and his dream was to walk his daughter down the aisle and be a part of her wedding to Elijah. We can’t say how blessed and honored we were to be able to be a part of such a monumentally meaningful occasion.
I admire Morgan- she’s one strong lady! As we write this, Elijah has been deployed and is currently fighting for our freedom with his military unit. Our prayers are with him, and Morgan. It’s a strong love that they share and we can’t wait until he is home safely.
We hope these photos are a blessing to Morgan and her family, and to Elijah who is far from home.
The wedding started with the girls getting their hair done.
Joshua and Jesse’s team at the Salons on the Creek in Plano did a fabulous job with the girls’ hair.
Morgan’s mom joined the ladies.
Morgan is one of the most relaxed and awesome brides we know. She enjoyed her time with the girls. After they finished getting their hair done, they decided to have the limo make a quick stop at Atomic Tacos in Plano for an afternoon snack. Not only was it a fun idea- they also insisted on feeding their photographer, too! I took the tacos to split with Matt and they were delish. Thanks again, ladies : )
The girls got ready at the Westin Park Central Hotel in Dallas.Â
Morgan’s Essence of Australia dress had gorgeous detail in the beading and lace work.Â
Christen, Morgan’s sister, got some final touches from the bride.
Lola, Morgan’s doggie, got made up as well…oh, and more of Lola to come!
Morgan you are stunning!Â
The guys also got ready at the Westin. Scarlet, the groom’s sister, was on hand to help him with his tie.
We are pet people, so we love how Morgan and Elijah involved their doggies in their day. Here’s one of the boys waiting with the flower girl.Â
Elijah rocked his groom’s shots.
Elijah and the doggies on the way to his first look. Â
The first look was PERFECT. We love when couples do a first look, because it gives them time to get photos together, and just enjoy getting to spend some special moments alone.Â
After some time together, Lola, Bandit, and Cowboy joined the couple for some family shots.Â
A group shot of the wedding party.Â
Then we had some time alone with the couple. It was freezing out…and they were troopers!Â
LOVE this photo. Morgan and Elijah- you guys are stunners!Â
The wedding and reception took place at the Alexander Mansion in Garland.
Morgan’s beautiful mom watching her husband walk their daughter down the aisle.Â
The music was done by the groom’s sister, Scarlet, and the ceremony was performed by Ted, pastor of the bride’s family. Both the music and the service were beautiful.
The signing of the marriage license.
The toasts were sometimes funny, and very meaningful.Â
Morgan’s dad toasts his daughter and his new son.Â
The bride and groom’s first dance.
The father daughter dance. I don’t think there was a dry eye in the place.
After the dances, Tom, from Tom’s DJ Service, started the “money dance.” A good DJ+ friends who love you= flowing money!
The DJ did the macarena with everyone else! It was great!
We love how the moms tore up the dance floor, too!
Morgan had some help tossing the bridal bouquet. ; )
We LOVE kids at weddings and these two, who decided to sneak some extra candy while everyone danced, were priceless.
One last dance with the happy couple before the night ended!
Morgan and Elijah, we are honored that we got to be a part of your wedding day! We wish you both a long and happy marriage.
Best Wishes,
Matt & Ivy
