It was completely still. The lights were dimmed and the wedding guests and bridal party were gone. Arlene and Omar were alone, in an empty ballroom, to reflect on the moments of their wedding day. The city lights gave a small glow to the room and, as the first notes began and Tony Bennett’s voice filled the night, Omar led his wife onto the dance floor. The romance was evident from the start.
The Ballroom at the Dallas Arts Center has a tradition where couples are allowed a final dance – just the two of them- while their wedding party goes downstairs to prepare for their sendoff. We’d never seen something so beautiful or serene at a wedding before, and we were amazed by how perfectly romantic it was. The room was entirely dark, with one small spotlight, so at times we couldn’t even fully see Arlene and Omar, and we tried to stay farther away so that the moment was truly theirs. It brought us back to what a wedding should truly be- the assurance of knowing you have someone to love… forever. Out of all their wedding photos, we chose this as a first sneak peek, because we think that this photo captures the bliss and peace that was theirs at the end of the night.
Arlene and Omar compliment each other perfectly. We wish them all the happiness in the world…para siempre.
Matt & Ivy
